Black Cat is Felicia Hardy, villain created by Marv Wolfman and Keith Pollard in 1979 in the universe of Spider-Man. Felicia followed in the footsteps of her father, one of the greatest jewel thieves in the world, and also became a professional thief.
Endowed with the power of manipulation of probabilities (the 'curse of chance') and a costume created to broaden its attributes and abilities, giving it superhuman strength and agility and night vision.
At times Felicia was regenerated by allied with Spider-Man, whom she fell in love with, but she never completely left her career as a thief.
